When a clean water leak inundated an office in Boronia, causing 100mm of standing water across 120m² of carpet, our team was on-site promptly to mitigate the damage and restore the workplace. Time was of the essence to minimize business disruption and prevent further damage.
We began with the immediate extraction of water from the carpeted area, followed by the installation of 13 air movers and 5 dehumidifiers to kickstart the drying process. By the next day, additional drying equipment was brought in, totaling 15 air movers, 5 large dehumidifiers (1200L/D capacity), and 1 ultra-high-capacity dehumidifier (7000L/D).
Over the course of 10 days, we meticulously monitored moisture levels, adjusting equipment as necessary to achieve optimal drying conditions. On day four, we lifted several carpet tiles to ensure the subfloor was thoroughly dried—a critical step in preventing mold and structural issues. The drying process was completed on August 8th, at which point the carpet tiles were reinstalled, and the entire carpeted area underwent steam cleaning to eliminate any bacterial contamination.
This case demonstrates our ability to handle large-scale water damage scenarios with efficiency and care. By employing advanced equipment and rigorous monitoring, we ensured that the office was fully restored to a safe and functional state. The detailed photos and video captured during the process stand as a testament to the quality of our work.
